Can I just cut off the muffler an have some better sound or should I keep my flowmaster catback?

 

Leave the flowmaster cat back and cut off the cat for better sound. Also which engine do you have? which flowmaster do you have? The 40 series original and super 44 are the loudest / most aggressive.

Spin techs are so much better/louder/better performing than the flowmaster..

Flowmaster flow like total garbage.. Have dyno numbers to prove it...

 

Flowmaster has only made mufflers for 30 years, they probably haven't figured it out yet.

 

 

The spintech they tested in this was the lowest level spintech sells.. They have a race series that flows equal to the borla..

 

wow, 1-2 hp difference. I would hardly say that chart proves any of those mufflers are the best or the worst, the only thing I get from that chart is that any muffler is better than an open pipe which I already know from experience.

 

Too add, my buddy had a dodge 5.9R/T with headers, no cats and a full stainless borla exhaust (spent a lot on it), I had an eldorado (95 4.6L) with a stock system and two 40 series flowmasters. He was jealous of my sound and I got far more compliments, to each there own but I love me the flowmaster sound!! Every time he rode in my car he said "I wish I would have done this, it sounds better"
