Default What is this part called?

Good morning all. There is a part on my truck that is flapping upon acceleration. I'm not sure what it is called. It is right next to the transmission dipstick tube. On the picture it is between the orange (pink) vacuum hose and attaches to the rubber curved hose. It also has a rubber and metal hose that goes to the air injection pump and another hose that goes behind the engine. Question is, should it be flapping? I'm trying to diagnose a rough idle - rough acceleration - no power upon wide open throttle. The only code I've been able to retrieve is 332. Thanks in advanced. Also, in case my trucks information does not appear in my signature (not sure why)

, it is a 1993 Supercab, 5.8L, automatic, 4x4

Ok after googling alot of stuff I believe it is called an air bypass valve. Is it supposed to be flapping?

I found an old post from 2008. Poster called it an Air Management Valve. I can't seem to find this part anywhere.

I think I found the same post and there is a part number listed but I am unable to find it. I'll keep looking.

That is the part I'm inquiring about. The area where the vacuum line connects to flaps when I accelerate using the throttle body linkage. Is it supposed to do that?

No, nothing is supposed to flap. Read this page, the links on it, and the PREVious/NEXT several pages:

Hey Steve83. I was wondering when you were going to chime in.

And thanks.
