Thank you for your post! I wish someone did a write up like that on our trucks. Hopefully I can cross reference some of the parts in your post.

I helped a buddy rebuild his 93 7.5l so if you need any help, feel free to PM me. Typically your tps sensor doesn't cause a bad idle. I would have to research some on your style engine but most are in "open loop" mode during warm up.

I would check my plugs and coils. Def pick up
A 20 buck digital multimeter tomorrow. You will be able to rule out a lot of issues.

Yeah I figured he TPS would be misfiring or over revving when actually driving on the highway?

Any idea where the IAC is on these rigs and how I check them? I've got a multimeter, plenty of tools for the most part. Guide me oh wise one!

I'll post up how to test your iac valve in the morning if you need it. It's 4 am here and I need to get some rest. I'll send you a few pics and diagrams in the morning on how to test those valves and sensors.
