Trans dipstick tube
Hello my transmission dipstick tube was broken by previous owner. And I can not find an aftermarket one and ford says no longer available. Does anyone know of a source or if a different application would work (crown vic ) maybe? 1994 f150 5.0 aode 4x4 . Thanks in advance

The AODE name was only used in cars, so that may be why you're not finding any replacements that fit your truck. Call it "4R70W" and you might find some. Click this & read the caption:

Where & how exactly did it break? It's probably a 2-piece tube (like the E4OD), so it matters which piece you're looking for. Have you checked any local fabrication shops to see if someone can weld it back together, or fabricate a replacement? It doesn't have to be steel - it can be soft Copper, like is used for residential & commercial A/C construction. Check with those guys. Or the regional transmission rebuilders.

Ended up at the junkyard took 3 tries to get a good one . Mine the tip where the o ring goes was missing(cracked I'm guessing) when I bought truck so no part of the tube actually went inside trans. Correct it the 4r70w and it's a 1 piece tube . I did score a double cup holder and ashtray that my truck was missing so it was worth it .
