Problems Starting in Heat
Hello,
Kinda new to the forum, but I hope you guys can help me. I have a 1996 F150 XL, It has the 4.9 IL 6 cylinder, and it runs really well in the cold and after it starts. The problem I have is that when it runs for a bit in warm weather, or if it is sitting in the sun the engine will turn over and shake the entire truck, then die. I have replaced the mass air flow sensor, and the temperature sensor that mounts on the firewall and they really didn't help. Im just wondering if anyone had the same problem and happened to find the solution. Im not a huge motor head, but I would like to become one, so please use layman's terms.
