I have been looking all over Google to try and find a good place to start on fixing this issue but am having trouble finding good information. On my 95 f150 5.8L the push button 4x4 won't work. I have manual locking hubs. With the hubs in the lock position and the truck in neutral (automatic transmission) when i hit the button, nothing happens. No lights or rumbling sound. I checked fuse 18 and 12 and they appear to be fine. I also got under her and turned the drive shaft manually and it turned freely (with the locking hubs unlocked). Has anyone else had this problem? I suspect either the switch, control module, or the shift motor on the transfer case. I just don't know what a good starting point is.

any update? my 4x4 light comes on and I believe all is engaging but my 4x4 low doesn't light up, was hoping you found some solutions or starting points
