Default New rear diff.

The axle code on my door is 19. I'm pretty sure it's the open diff. Is there any truck that have the 355 gears in limited slip. that's a direct bolt up? Like a 97-98 model. Or Possibly like a 92-96 4x4 I'm looking for a limited slip. And the reason in looking for a swap and not a rebuild or lockers is I don't have the tools nor the experience to do it. IMO or would be easyer to just swap my open 355 for a ls 355. And while I'm at it replace the rear leafs and shocks.

Any axle from your gen (at least) should bolt up just fine. The things that will affect your driveshaft fit would be your transmission and presence/absence of a transfer case I would think.

Okay so I've been to many junk yards around me, and all of them say that the only axle that will bolt up to my truck 1992 f150 5.0 ex. Cab with 3.55 gr. is the one that came with is. My axle code is 19. Witch is the open diff.. I'm looking for a h9-ls. Did the 1992 - 1996 f150s come with the h9ls? And if so what package? 4x4? Or did they have lockers? I'm looking for a limited slip or a factory diff with lockers. Something i can pull from a truck at a junk yard or buy at a junkyard, and bolt up directly to my truck. Any comments are appreciated.

BS. All the axles for our generation are the same except for gearing. The leaf springs will be different between a 2wd and a 4x4 but that's the suspension, not the axle. I don't know which specifically got ls rear ends, you'll just have to keep looking until you find one.
