new to forum old to older fords 95 f-150
i just got a 95 f-150 with a 5.8liter engine i think that is a 351 w. i paid 100 dollars for it and all i need for it is the two fuel pumps.,no problem except those darn fuel lines i guess i have to buy some more tools.

Why don't you just sign in as dreamofford? You can sign in from any computer, if you know the password to that username.

The tools are cheap enough, the metal scissor thing works most of the time and the set of plastic inserts work well too.
I always put a shot of penetrating oil in there and let that soak a bit first.
Then push the line towards the pump, insert the tool and they (usually) come right off.
Patience is important here; don't start reefing on the lines too hard, if you bend the little tabs inside it's a real bugger to get them off.

i bought one those butterfly types and the smallest is too big to fit in the fittings on the tank. they should make a tool that you just squeeze and it pops apart. you know grabs the lines on both sides and slips in and spreads the springs by squeezing the handle the sizzer looking tool sold at autozone is junk not worth the 8.00 bucks.
