Default Exhaust

Does anyone know if the exhaust system from the the manifold to exhaust tip is the same on 6cyl and v8? Wanting to remove this god awful sounding custom exhaust and put the factory back on. Found a parts truck but it’s a 6cyl and mine is a 5.0. Looked online but can’t find anything that says if it’s different or not. Thanks

It's certainly not. Both 4.9L manifolds are on the right side, so its Y pipe is VERY different from either V8's (which are different because of different widths). The only Y-pipes that will bolt up are for the same displacement as your engine. But even among those, there are several distinct designs, based on year & options. All '85-93 half-ton 5.0L Y-pipes should match, and '94-95 with MAP; '94-95 MAF is a different Y-pipe; '96 F150 is different, and different from '96 Bronco.
