Default Hydrolic clutch problems please help.

Hello I have an 1987 f150 I'm not sure on the transmission but I know it has a Mazda 5 speed trans in it, I recently rebuilt the engine in it as we'll as changed my clutch pressure plate throw out bearing and the flywheel. Now it drove fine for about 5 miles I parked the truck and now I have brake fluid leaking from the bottom of the bell housing, and I have no clutch at all, I cannot even put it into gear what could it possibly be?

Dont know exactly how these are piped up but the fluid is leaking out of the piping or the slave cylinder. If the slave cylinder is leaking probably the seal is bad. Either way you need to get to it and determine where the fluid is escaping.

You sure yu have the 5 speed? Because '87 didn't come with the Mazda. The Mazda does have the internal slave though, which you should have changed because it's most likely what is leaking.

Yes I am sure, it's not the original tranny that was in in it grandfather dropped a 5 speed in it. And I know that mazdas are compatable with fords, so I had it checked out and sure enough it's a maZda I honestly think its my slave cylinder but its internal sadly.

Yeah best bet its the clutch slave. If you changed the throwout bearing I would have gone ahead and changed the whole thing to prevent that kind of problem. I made the mistake once of just changing the slave and not the bearing and I melted the slave when the bearing seized a year later.
