Default How do I tune my 1995 F150?

Now I have been searching a while and cant find a single tuner for my pickup. (OBD 1)

Now I want to bore and stroke my 302 and possibly someday throw forced induction at it. Which all of these things require more fuel.

Now with the stroker kit can the computer compensate for the displacement or will I need to tune it to throw more fuel at it?

I know if I go with a turbo or supercharger I will have to tune the fuel injection some how. So what have other people done?

Just put 351 or 460 in there.

Thats dumb to throw a 460 in there, that and the 351w does not make that much more power over a 302. If you throw a 460 in there you have to get a BBF bellhousing and motor mounts, possibly new suspension to support the beast. Not saying it cannot be done, but there are other methods

Yea, I don`t know any thing about the 460 but it sounded good at the time.

hahahaha my friend thought the 460 sounded like a good idea too, so he went and bought one and complains everyday about the amount of gas it goes through! It does have power though, it can spin his 3/4 ton just by slamming the pedal down.....(the gas guage also goes down lol)

Yeah no to the 460, this is a daily driver, and screw gas prices. And I can get a core 351 for 100 bucks and rebuild it but it doesn't seem worth it to me when I have an extra 302 sitting around already. And all the electronics would be the same. I don't know what all has to be changed over for the 351 to work.

But I'm leaning towards sticking with stroking it. Does anyone know if I have to do anything with fuel for that to run right or will the computer automatically compensate?

I am not sure on fuel injected motors, but Dr. Bowtie is a very good source, I would ask him about it, he can give you some insight

it would be simpler for you i think just to go carbed.

here is the only thing i could find that i was told would work.

the MAP sensor cant adjust worth crap and it will start messing up with very little modification to the engine.
