I have a 1995 f150 4x4 with a 300 6cyl and i am looking to build it but i know my transmission will not hold up to it since i have a m5r2 5 speed in it is there any alternate transmission out there that is better

will the ZF5 bolt to my 300 6cyl i have been told it will not

 

4.9, 5.0 and 5.8 have the same bellhousing pattern. You can't use one from a 460.

 

thanks man i never have looked for my self to see but every one was telling me that only the 5.8 and bigger engines had the ZF 5speed transmission in them so now i know what im looking for
