Default E4OD compatabiliy

Hey guys so im in the process of gathering parts for my 4x4 conversion and really all im lacking right now is a tranny. i have searched and have gotten mixed reviews and some not at all.
i ran across two things that i could pick up but i need some info. One is a 96 460 mated to an E4OD curious if that would bolt up as i could get rid of the engine and keep the tranny. second is a 99 E4OD with less than 10K on the rebuild. i cant find anywhere if the 99 will fit and or work. I read something about swapping the solenoid pack but that was on earlier transmissions if my memory serves me right.
any info would be awesome.
thanks in advance

what is your truck and what engine? if its a f150 the 460s transmission wont work, the 460 is a big block and the 3 in the 150s are small (the 5.8l is in the middle i hear, not really sure about that 1) the 99+ i have no idea, but i want to say no.

You can't use either of those.
