I'm in the middle of a 4x4 swap and I've heard a f250 cross member can be used in place of a f150 cross member, is this true?

The frames are the same shape in that area (but not identical), and the crossmember is the same GIVEN the same transmission. You should use the Xmbr from the same donor truck you got the trans/t-case from.

It seems Ford used a different crossmember for every configuration. Thanks!!! When I converted mine and after receiving 3 different crossmembers, I ended up using one from a manual shift 4x4. It was close but the trans mount would not line up, so I made short extension bracket using shallow c-channel steel. That was about 8 months ago and it is holding steady, even after some heavy hauling and mountain climbing. Good luck and hope you find the correct crossmember.

Well I currently want to buy a f250 cross member that from a manual 4wd but the only thing is it's and f250 one, length wise the zf is the same length as the m5R2 and same tcase, but I was wondering if there was a difference.
