Core Support
I just recently bought a 88-91 front clip and the the truck had a diesel engine in it. The truck I want to use it for is a 92-96 gasoline engine with a 5.0 302 The core support is in good shape as far as rust goes and I live in Nebraska so finding a usable one in the salvage yards isn't a option at all. What differences are there between the gasoline and diesel core supports? If I have to can I modify the diesel core support to make it work or not? If anybody could help me with any information at all it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for viewing this thread.
You bought the wrong thing. Sell the old diesel core support, and buy a '92-96 (& '97 >8500GVWR) gasser core support.
This is what you bought:

Diesel core supports are not produced now, so you should have no trouble selling that one. The ForSale forum at this BBS would be a good place to start:

I'll think about that although I'm not too terribly knowledgeable on online selling stuff unless it's like where I can meet with somebody in person. Okay I made a mistake in my first post. I'm looking to put the 88-91 front clip together with a gas engine core support so the front fenders and wheel wells would be attaching to the core support. Are the 88-91 core supports different from the 92-96 core supports?
