My 94 f150 4x4 has always shifted hard since I've owned it. The previous owner says he had the tranny rebuilt just before I bought it so I just figured they had installed a shift kit during rebuild. Last week it began dying when put in Drive/OD. Intermittently but became more frequent as time went on. R, 1, 2, N were all fine, just in Drive. I had the solenoid pack in the tranny replaced and what do ya know, shifted like a dream, for a day. Then began really hard shifting in all gears, up and down, but not dying. My question is, could the solenoid went bad or is the solenoid working so well that it has caused something else to fail. OD light is not and has never been flashing. Anyone, any ideas? Thanks.
