Default want to level

was looking online at lift kits and level kits for my 88 f150 lariat 4x4. i really want to just level the front out, as i like the height of the rear and im also happy with my current tire size (havent converted the exact tire size, but if i had to guess i would say theyre around 31 or 32s).

anyway, when looking at the leveling kit, there was a warning saying that if I only go a couple of inches on the front that I may have alignment issues. Can anyone tell me what that's all about? I was hoping I could put a spacer or new springs in there and be done with it. Why is there a problem with only a 2" lift in front?

Thanks,
Ray

Look into f250 coils. There was some type if bushing or something you had to put in somewhere ( I know, very descriptive right?) and then alignments are much easier, which you will have to get after a level. F250 coils will level the truck though.

oh I'm prepared to have alignment done. The warning I saw just made me believe that alignment would be difficult to achieve at 2" lift for whatever reason. I'll see if I can find the product and copy and paste the disclaimer

It's difficult to align with the factory Camber Bushings. They aren't difficult to replace yourself but I don't know off hand how to determine which ones you need.
