I am having some weird lights pop up on my dash. I am getting the red brake light as well as the abs light. They pop up intermittently and do not stay on, I have checked to make sure my parking brake is not on. Dont know how to read these lights. Has anyone had a similar problem?

 

Have you pulled codes?

 

I dont believe the brake system is connected with the OBD1, cause its not coming up with anything

 

Not entirely certain but I think there might be another plug in the cab somewhere that will make the abs light flash codes. Never used it myself but I THINK I've seen people talk about it here. I just wasn't sure if a faulty abs sensor or something would bring up a code on the main brain.

 

both of those lights come on when you are low on fluid. If your fluid is low, your leaking. If its not low then the fluid level sensor may be acting up. I have had both problems.
