Upper Ball Joint
Maybe I have t heated it long enough
used the benzomatic and you could tell it’s hotter but whaled on that ball and nothing
used a 3 lb hammer
nlt sure I can swing a 5 1b but going to try again

So gave this a try and really not budging
i am thinking of cutting the ball off and using the air hammer to push the rest up through the hole. Maybe I can push both the remnants of the ball joint and camber adjuster out
Is this a good idea?

Removing the camber cam is the first step
Get the cam out
It has probably been smashed into the threads of the ball joint by now but it will still come out
Once that cam is out, the ball joint should come out way easier
I use a long stroke air hammer and a chisel bit

The slot
I used to pound a small chisel into the slot in the camber cam
Beat the chisel downwards into the slot, it will expand the camber shim just enough to get it loose from the threads on the ball joint stud
Might seem counterintuitive but it helps sometimes when all else fails
Cherry red is your friend, obtainable with a rosebud tip on an oxy acetylene torch
Long term goal, get one of those torch setups and a few tips
Used, they are around 400 and a crapshoot on the tanks (whether you own them or not when you go to get them refilled)
Look for a Victor, they make a small Victor and a Large Victor (for home use), up to Huge for industrial cut trains in half stuff
Buy a small Victor to do front end work
