Shock off first
That allows you to drop it down far enough it's easier to get at the bottom spring retainer nut
Make sure there is a jackstand under the axle as it comes down
The shock is the limiting factor

I have the coil spring and a shock on each side.So just to confirm,I am guessing both shocks need to come out first
i know,probably a silly question,just want to be 100% sure

For quad shocks, yes, both must be disconnected before you can get the spring out

After just replacing my radius arm bushings, I would first try breaking loose the big nut (28mm) on the end of the radius arm. It's not easy to break loose. That task would be easiest done when everything is still bolted tightly together up front.
