Rear brake drum stuck
Hello,
I am having trouble removing the drum from the rear hubs. I have tried removing the rubber grommet to access the adjuster assembly, and it feels like there is a lever i can lift up, however no sign of the adjuster wheel. Lying at the bottom, and loose, is a threaded bolt. Looks like it might be a bit of a mess in there. Is it just a case of 'persuading' the drum off with the use of a hammer? It definitely seems stuck to the hub, possibly brake shoes as well

It is somewhat common for drums to rust onto the hub, so the easiest method is to take a hammer to it. Worst case scenario you could use a big jaw puller, and of course, make sure the parking brake is fully released.
To break the drum loose from the hub, take a metal hammer and hammer on the flat part all around the bolts being careful not to damage the threads on the bolts.
Can you turn the drum? It should turn slightly back and forth even with the transmission in park or gear with a manual transmission. Or should turn out of gear or park. Even if it turns it may be the drums and shoes may be grooved bad enough to not let the drum pull off without backing the shoes off, which may not be possible.
I recently done the brakes on a 1994 F-150 and I ended up cutting both drums off with a 4 inch portable grinder. I can give details if necessary.

There is no advantage to starting another thread for the same job (brakes) on the same vehicle.
