Need help lowering a 1988 F150 with a solid axle
Hello,
I have a 1988 F150 4.9 4x4 single cab with long bed and I am trying to lower it to a normal height. Right now it has a 8" skyjacker lift kit with 3" body lift for a total of 11 inches and it also has a front solid axle. I bought a 2.5 inch rough country suspension lift kit with new leaf springs but I m not sure if i need anything special for the front end since it has a solid axle. I haven't started with the lowering but I plan on it here soon. Please anyone have any ideas, suggestions, or any input at all would be great.

That's an insane amount of lift for 32"s. If it were me I'd take the body lift off to start with, you'd still have clearance for 38"s with 8" of lift. Since the solid axle conversion isn't common there isn't much to say about without seeing the truck. Someone who's done it needs to comment
