Nice, looks much better, do you expect any sag after few days from the shocks breaking in?

Im guessing my tires will be badly inward like this \...../ I just dont want to hurt my front end by driving it this way. That is my only concern. If it doesnt hurt my front end (excluding the tires) then ill go ahead and do the swap and drive it until i get the alignment and tires next week.
It wasn't too bad at all. I don't think it will hurt much (except tires) if you drive it like that but I can't say for sure. MIne isn't a daily driver so I didn't have to drive it much prior to the alignement.

It sagged very little after the break in but not much. I expected minimal sag due to the stiffness of the springs.

Just put in my new springs last night, thanks for the reply. The ride on the truck is way better than before. I used to have the usual truck sag when cornering but now it stays completely level throughout turns and it handles the bumps a whole lot better than before. Plus I now have the clearance of a 4X4 which is great. I will say that my front end is slightly lower than the rear (about an inch) but its just because I have 225's up front and 265's in the rear. Once I get all new 265's next week I think it'll ride completely level. Really glad I did this swap.

Default New C844 springs.

Long time viewer. (This site is a good resource)
First time posting.
This 96 has a 300 six with the e4od (20 bolt pan) transmission.
Had new computer, fuel pumps, radiator, hoses/belts, battery, plugs, MAS sensor, tune up, transmission and front end replaced.
Swapped to the MOOG C844 springs thanks to you guys showing how it looks.
Kept the F150 factory shock when replacing those since it is the lighter 300 six engine.
Ride was really stiff at first. Although a couple hundred miles them added the 31x10.50.15 tires and it
drives like a dream. Better than original.
Very pleased with how everything turned out on this 22 year old 70k mile truck so far.
still have to buy new bumpers and give some fresh paint.
Later will go ahead and drop a fresh engine with the 4 year 100k warranty.

1996 F150. New front end (everything) with Moog C844 springs swapped for factory springs. New shocks. Then added 31x10.50x15 Goodyear Wranglers all around. Ride is amazing.

So which Hydro 7000 shocks are best with only a 1.5 in new spring lift in front?? Running 18x9 wheels with 285/65/18 tires.

Hello. I have a 96 short wheel base, single cab, 300 ci, 4x4.
I'm replying to this thread because it seems to be the most recent of all the different threads about moog spring swaps in the front for these trucks.
My shock/ spring towers rusted off so while I was replacing them, I did everyingthing I could to the front end springs, shocks, bushings, sway bar, ball joints, brakes, tie rods.
All the forums seemed to agree that the moog cc824s generally level out the front end of these trucks, and the cc844 raise it a little, or something to that effect.
I did the cc824 springs and have somhow ended up with somewhere around 4" of lift!
It is now 2 inches higher than the back, and my camber is so far out that I don't think there is any way that my adjustable camber bushings will accomidate.
I will, I guess, have to decide between swapping the springs out for something shorter, or adding drop brackets to the frame to straighten out my TTB beams, and I guess stiffer springs and more spacers in the back to level it out.
Any Ideas as to why the difference between my results and everyone else's?
Any insight would be appreciated.

Beckula, I know your post is older but did you put in new spring isolators/insulators? I am getting ready to do this on my truck (like yours) but I cannot find the insulators. Thanks
