Question Ladder bars!

Hey guys its been quite a while but im back, with my next project. So me and my friend have decided we would like to try to build ladder bars for my 1996 f150 short bed reg cab 2wd. Were going to build them because my truck wheel hops like CRAZY its really bad. I was just wondering if anyones done it before so i could have some tips. i also dont know where to start or what i will need so could you guys help me out to prevent my axel wrap!?

Thanks,
Zac

Have you replaced the shocks, leaf bushings, sway bar links and bushings? I'd figure why it's doing that before you throw something like that on. Do you race with it? I don't think ladder bars would do much on such a short truck. But I could be wrong.

Well ive replaced the shocks, i havent done the sway bar or leaf spring bushings because they are going to be a super pain because there is no way the leaf spring bolts are going to want to come out, the sway bar ones might. i do not race or anything, but this thing is my street truck little kinda project. On the list is new wheels and fat low pro tires then a small drop not too much because of these wonderful new england roads. But the ladder bars are just from the rear end to the frame to reduce the twist of the axel so they Should work even on a short truck.
