Default I beam pivot bushings

Just removed the pivot bushing from the I beam, the hole in the bushing is 5/8 " and the new one's have a 1/2" hole. The bolt that goes through the bushing is also 1/2".It doesn't appear to be worn and the bolt looks great.Any idea's to why. Thanks.

I mis-ordered a set of those 5/8 sleeve size bushings and if you go through the online catalogue at RockAuto, you will see reference to it as an alternate part. Maybe they are for F250's? Looks like they were changed before with the wrong ones on your truck.

I just changed the pivot bushings on a 1995 F150 Lightning. Online searches indicate that trucks could have used the 5/8" ID or the 1/2" ID pivot bushing. You'll know when you pull out your the bolt that secures the bushing. Put a mic on the bolt. My bolts measured just a hair north of 1/2".

The original 83k mile bushing that I took out had what I believe were simply wear from 24 years. The inner metal sleeve had slop when observed out of the truck with the 1/2" bolt inserted. Chalk this up to 24 year old original part. Replaced with pivot bushings with 1/2" ID inner metal sleeve without issue.
