Default gear box

i have a 1993 ford f150 4x4 and I have a lot of play in my gear box for my stearing. Are gear box hard to replace?

You can try adjusting it first. The set screw and jamb nut on top.

Yes and no on the replacement. The pitman arm might not want to come off. I got a puller stuck on it. But adjustment should be your first idea. Just don't adjust it too much as you can tear a seal. Rockauto.com has refurb ones, cheapest I've found.
