Front shocks
I went huntin this mornin and the road to my deer camp is pretty bad, and as i was drivin up to camp it felt like something was hittin the bottom of my floor board. So I took my truck up to my buddy's shop that that put the shocks and levelin kit on my truck and he checked out the front end. He said everything was tight but he thought it felt like a shock bottomin out. I put brand new shocks all the way around my truck a little less than a year ago so I don't know how my shock could be blown. I'm sure it can happen but I baby my truck when it comes to roads with ruts cause I don't want to tear anything up. It seems like I can really only feel it when my driver side tire drops downs. I know it is on the drivers side of the truck too. The front end also has dual shocks and the shocks are pro-comp. has anybody ever had any trouble with pro-comp shocks, and can anybody give me some advice on how to tell if my shock is bad, any help would greatly be appreciated.
I am assuming you have a pro comp leveling kit. That is what I have on my 95. My truck is dual shock model and the ride is just as rough as the old suspension. I am pretty sure these dual shocks are just stiff and the pro comp shocks are not that great. Mine are the es3000 shocks if you remember what yours are, probably the same.
how did your leveling kit go on? Mine was complicated, the alignment required the i-beams to be dropped using 4 inch lift drop brackets and the camber bushings? I plan on lifting the back with new leafs from a 2.5 kit
