Default Coils

I am little by little tackling the front end of my 94 Ford F150 XLT 5.0 4WD
Almost have the knuckle out to get to the ball joints but everything down there looks a little flaky

Here is a pic of the coils and although they don’t look pretty, not sure if they are still good.Don’t want to spend if I don’t have to

Thoughts?

They look fine to me but that doesn't mean much.. You have to measure the ride height and make sure the coil spring is not broken to determine if they need to be replaced.

If they are still good, can they be removed, sanded and repainted

The flaking paint and rust is not a problem IMO
I have only seen 3 broken ones in my life and those were driven like Bronson in Mr. Majestyk

Default Coil problem

Clean and paint. As long as the structure is sound sand it all down and paint it.
