Brake Lines
I just went through the 18 pages on the Suspension and Brake Forum. I want to purchase pre bent stainless lines for my 1996 4x4 shortbed regular cab. I have searched the web and have checked at National Parts Depot, Jeffs Bronco Graveyard and LMC. I have a tubing bender and a flare tool that I have used with good results but I hope to find the pre bent stainless lines. Any suggestions. Thanks

why do they need to be SS?
and if you have a bender and the flare tool why not just bend and flare yourself?
when I did my complete system, it was easy, you need to drop the side tank(if equipped)
I ended up only using the bender for the really tight bends, I just laid the old one out and held it against the new line as I bent it.

^what he said. You don't need to drop the tank. I just did all of my lines. Not that hard.
The factory lines are showing some rust and I thought that with stainless it would be one and done for good. I have all the tools to flare and bend my own lines and have done it before but I guess maybe I wanted to take the lazy way out. Since I now live in Southern California transplanted from all the salt back east, steel lines are probably the easiest and cheapest way to go. I still would think that someone would sell the prebent stainless lines.
You would be wasting your money In my opinion. My factory lines lasted 22 years in the Midwest, I'm thinking my truck will be long gone before the new coated steal lines I just did rot away.

I've got a broken steel brake line that I want to replace. I'll do it in steel. Can anyone say what size the existing line is? I ask because I haven't measured it and the truck isn't with me now. I'd like to buy the part on line and install without an extra trip just to measure the OD. I'm assuming I can reuse the existing nuts if they are not buggered up. Does FORD use 1/4". 5/16" or 3/8"?? Thanks
