Default 1987 towing capacity

Moving and thinking might use trailer. The enclosed trailer I have in mind is 2400 GVWR. IT HAS a dry weight of 935. Is this something truck can handle? 87 f150 5.0 auto...what other considerations do we need? The manual is lost and the guides I see online are for 21st century trucks.

You should be able to pull 3500 to 4000 lbs legally

Your truck will have no problem with these weights. I'm guessing this is a rental? If you don't have a trailer brake controller you need to watch your stopping distances, you're adding a lot of weight and not increasing the brakes
