Default Installing a Windsor stroker erngine.

I've got a 94 F-150 that I'd like to put a stroker engine into. I don't have to worry about passing emissions so I'm free to modify in that sense.

What all does the factory computer control? Can I just get a stand alone computer for an aftermarket fuel injection system, then just a basic (MSD or similar) electronic ignition box?

Does the transmission have any computer controls on it?

What are the limitations of the factory computer? How much power increase can I add before I need to ditch it?

Howdy there fellow Orygunian.

The automatics are computer controlled. The factory computer controls pretty much everything as far as spark and fuel go. If it is a mass air flow truck then you are probably good up to roughly about 300hp. If it is a speed density truck then don't even bother swapping in a stroker engine without doing a mass air flow conversion first.

More info about your truck would be helpful - engine, tranny, etc.
