Default Dipstick issue - did Ford move it in block?

My dipstick was fine in my 91 F150 and then I replaced the motor with a new longblock. Ever since replacing engine dipstick is really hard to reach (next to firewall). I don't think its possible to put in in wrong, only thing I can think of is its a different year block with dipstick hole in a different location. I moved the old oil pan over to new engine. It was in block before and is still in block. Anyone ever heard of this?

That's strange. Did it get bent or turned wrong ? I think it should have a tab that goes onto the exhaust manifold bolt between # 5 and 6 ?

This is the 4.9, dip stick is on driver's side and exhaust is on passenger side.
