Default Air injection delete

Hello, I have a 1996 F150 with the 4.9 Inline 6, the motor went and i have gotten a replacement from a 1992 F150. I swapped everything from my motor over to the new one with out any issues, the only issue is my motor had the air in head setup and this motor does not. I was wondering if i just capped the air flow (because my new motor doesnt have the air in head setup) what would happen. Would the truck still start and run fine. I would be leaving the air flow down to the Catalytic converter from the air pump. And i do have the oxygen sensors in the exhaust mainfolds so i’m not sure if they would pick up on the difference. Thanks.

The engine will run, but not run right without all the emissions systems that the EEC/PCM is programmed to use. This caption explains how the 2ndry air system benefits the engine:
