Default What could cause this?

I know this isn't on my F150 but you guys reading this section KNOW lighting.

My wifes Taurus that is 2 weeks old is now on its 3rd set of lights and these HIDs just look horrible. They are terribly weak and flat dangerous to drive with. These 2 pics show something is just wrong.

The one pic is harder to tell but the drivers side just looks brown from a distance.

My dealer has no clue and keeps telling me the lights look great. Any tips as to what is causing this?

Are they factory projectors? It kind of looks like a bad projector...as if the coating inside the projector is coming off. Looks very odd. Passenger side looks good however.

Wait...no cutoff?? Are the highs on in this photo?

Yes this is a brand new car.

That pic is high beam and yes they are factory projectors.

We originally wanted to buy an SHO with factory HIDs but the car had been keyed the night before we were to pick it up so my wife decided on this limited Taurus. This Taurus had halogen lights in the projector and according to my dealer its the same housing for either halogen or HID lights.

According to them putting in the HIDs into this limited cost them $4000 but when we signed the papers to the car the salesman promised us they were HIDs and that the light was just as good as whats in the F150s which was a lie. When we seen they were not they then said they would be added so that's where we are now, so pissed at our dealer its unreal.

Here is a low beam shot and though the cutoff is decent on the passenger side the driver side is throwing a lot of light off to the side, not really shown here.

Deff looks like an issue with bulb seating.

I just backed my sho out real quick and snapped a couple pixs. When I get back to the computer I'll post them up. Mine look weird now that I really look at them. Not like yours tho.

The car is sitting at a slight angle. That's whats making mine look unlevel in the low beam pix.

^Definitly worth checking into... Im willing to bet the bulb not being seated properly is the issue!

OP, what lights did they install...OEM or aftermarket?
The hot spots in 1lowranger 's pics look dead on. That's what I'd expect to see.
