Upgrading my bar
So i'm looking to change out my 20" no-name light bar and have been looking at either the Black Oak spot pods or the 18" Diode Dynamics SS18.
Which one would be more bang for the buck?
Thanks in advance.

Neither... to be honest a bar that small won't give you a whole lot of lighting. Where is this bar installed and what are you trying to light up? As that'll all matter when you pick a light bar. If you are looking to just give additional coverage in say the fog area, yeah... that size bar will do the job, but if you are looking to throw light down the road... they won't do it.
You should check out Baja Designs... they make some really good stuff. They are not cheap though but damn... are they bright.

My current bar is mounted between the two breadbaskets. I'm just trying to light up more in front of me with some throw down the road. The one I have right now has water damage inside the housing and burnt LEDs....just look bad now so i don't turn it on as much unless its super dark.
I would love some Bajas, but that's over my budget.

You'll get that with cheaper bars unfortunatly. They are not designed that well. If I were you... I'd save a bit, buy a quality bar. I'd say Rigid Industries but that's the same as the AuxBeams, Black Oaks, etc... all thoes style bars are cheap.
Baja makes their stuff last a LONG time. They go through the paces.
You can spend about $125 on a 20" no name bar or $450 on a 20" S8 bar from Baja Designs (after various discounts available that is).
A 20" OnX6 Racers Edition is way outside your range coming in at $765 after discounts
If you want a 20" bar check out our clearance section. We have a few 20" we stocked up on for a Jeep show a ways back. Not a HIGH quality brand but ya know what... it'll get you by for a bit till you can get a real good bar.
I still have 1 AuxBeam bar left on my truck to swap out then I'll be happy (it's the 54" Curved on my roof). It did the job and has not leaked or given me issues but I'm going 100% high quality on my demo truck.

Our Stage Series 18" light bars are perfect for what you are describing. The optics were designed in-house, create a tight output pattern, and focus the light farther down the road, without producing a significant amount of glare like other options on the market.

Here's some information I'd like to post from a Facebook live interview with our lead optical engineer, who designed the optics on our Stage Series Light bars:
