Default To resistor not?

I have a pair of Gen2 Morimoto tails coming. They come with built in resistors, and I already have the hyperflash turned off with Forscan. Question is, should I use the built in ones and run like that, or snip them off and tape up the wires? I can't see where it would either way hurt anything.

Not much help on your question John, but interested in the results. If I did this Id hook them up as per directions. If not working as expected then modify. KM

I just put morimoto's in. i had the hyperflash turned off in forscan. I turned it back on before I put the morimoto's in. once I started up the truck, the hyperflash went away. However i did notice that if I don't have the truck running but turn the key to acc, it hyperflashes on the dash still until the truck gets turned on, then it goes away.

Thanks guys. If this thing wasn't loaded with electronics, I'd likely just hook them up using the resistors supplied, have done that many times on older vehicles.
I do believe I'm just not gonna use the resistors Morimoto supplies, it appears they plug into the harness, easy, just don't plug them in., and I'll leave the forscan mod that was done for me alone.
I'll say this, these computers on these trucks have me to the point, other than a tune, I won't do anything I'm not sure of,. That said, I've been playing with electricity since my teen years, but I'm not comfy with the magic little guys in mini black boxes.

Greg, I take it you did NOT use the resistors?

Follow up: I installed the tails without using the resistors. Morimoto makes it very easy, the resistors come with a pigtail that just plugs into the harness, so, I just didn't plug them in.

I did plug my resistors in, and then turned on the bulb outage warning setting in forscan.

Thanks, so you have the resistors plugged in, and the bulb out alert defeated, with no bad things happening?

I have the resistors plugged in, and the bulb out alert set to whatever it is default which i believe is enabled. No issues.
