Default Off-Road Lighting Options

Hey guys, I am looking to add some off-road lights to my bull bar on my truck for when I go off-roading, camping, taking canoes out of the water at/or near dark, etc. I have been looking around and I am wondering what everyone else is running and how it has performed over time. I have 8000k HID's on my truck so Ii need my lighting to closely match the color so it blends well together. I am currently looking at various kits from different manufacturers in an LED or an HID version. While money is not really an issue I'd prefer not to drop $500 on lights. I have been checking on ebay and have found KC LED's (4" round) for $180 a piece but there are some off-brands that are cheaper. Same for the HID kits. Is anyone running an off brand LED/HID kit and what luck have you had. I figure if I go KC I won't have any problems but is it worth the extra money? If there was a thread on this I apologize because I don't have time to search for hours. Any input would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Check out Taylor's selection of LED lights at Extreme Off Road Lighting. He has 4 inch rounds for $100 each and a sweet deal on the Duallys. I have a 20" pro series light bar and it is unreal. Especially for the price when compared to Rigid.

Thanks for the extra option man. Seems like this will be an unsuccessful thread outside your advice.

Just mounted two today on the wiper cowl, they work great. 4" and not much wind noise

Check out the custom accessories 4" hid lights on eBay. I have two of those and I also have one of Taylor's 40" Pro light bars. I have tons of light at a fraction of the cost of Rigid, VisionX or M&R. Here are some pics. BTW the HID's and lightbar are 6000k my headlights are 5000k.

I have a pair of Rigid Duallys mounted in my fog lights and love them. Super bright.

Hey how did the lights mount into the stock brackets? What was involved to get them to fit?

Looks great, would love to do this myself. Also, did you use the stock wiring? Thanks

Just had to trim the stock brackets to get them to fit correctly. Very minimal work. Used the stock wiring and they turn on just like my old fog lights did. I highly recommend.
