Default LED Blinker Hyperflash?

I'm about to order some LED taillight bulbs and I dont want to install the resisters for hyperflashing. I understand on the newer trucks, it only hyperflashes on the dash and not at the light. Any ill effects running it this way? I understand you can disable it with ForScan which is ultimately what I want to do but I gotta get set up with that first and learn to use it. I don't want to install the resistors cause I don't trust those wire tap connectors, also they get hot, also use up the energy your saving with LEDs, also I don't want to tear apart and hack into the wiring on my brand new truck. So any ill effects just letting it hyperflash at the dash?

Thanks-

I have a '17. There is no relay, otherwise I would do that. It has a BCM, so only blinks fast on the dash but not at the bulb fortunately. Either need to disable bulb out warning via ForScan or go the resistors route. Don't want to do that. And not set up with ForScan yet but when I am, that's what I'll do. It only blinks fast cause it thinks a bulb is out due to the voltage difference not because of a relay.

Forscan does not guarantee your issues will go away. you need Load Resistor. It's the correct way to solve your hyperflashing issue

No, 2009+ trucks do not use the same relay flasher unit and cannot be replaced. Resistors or forescan are the only way.

I'm going to try the ForScan method. I really don't want to hack into the factory wiring. If it was an older truck, then id go the relay method. It's not really that bad.....on the newer trucks it's only the indicators on the dash that flash faster, the outside turn signals flash normal. I don't notice it that much.

You can get LEDs with the load resistor built right into them I believe. Then there's no hacking into factory wiring.
