Incredibly bright Led Mirror Puddle Lights

My truck didn't come with puddles. Bought a set of pens off eBay for around $20 and Retro fitted them with VLEDs over a year ago and they light up the entire side of my truck. Think I paid $15-20 a bulb but they were the brightest ones I could find.

Built my own assemblies today. Used some Home Depot plastic pipe, a big grommet, a hose clamp, a pipe cap, a piece of fluorescent light fixture diffuser (cut in a circle), and an LED bulb. Turned out great.

I almost went with the SuperBright on mine, looked at the Recons too, but I went with the VLED puddle lamps as well. $60.00 a pair I think? . I have an '11 Lariat that had the original tow mirrors. I did the '13 Powerscope tow mirror update. But they do not have real Puddle lamps. So I drilled holes, and I wired them in place of the bottom amber light on the mirror.

did you originally have tow mirrors before you upgraded? I have a 12' with tow mirrors that i'm looking to upgrade to 13+ tow mirrors with powerfold. any info you have or a write up would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
