Talking Incredibly bright Led Mirror Puddle Lights

Lights from http://www.drivebright.com/

Dan Smith was helping me and emailing me along the way about getting me the free pair of license plate leds that come with it that are very bright and very cool as well.

I ordered these lights when one of my stock halogen lights somehow fell out of the mirror. I had planned to do this for awhile and now I had an easy way to replace one at least.

The instructions were decent. the pictures a little small but the written instructions were fine enough.

The installation was so simple. Unclipped the wires from the stock light and clip them on to the new one. The new lights are so much brighter.

The only problem I had was taking the stock light out of the mirror that it was not dangling from. I had to break the stock housing clip but that didn't matter to me because I have no plans to ever return it to stock. That was not the way the installation intended it just how I handled it.

The new lights Look so much better at night. It illuminates it as much as a led wire strip would.

Drivers side

Passenger side

These pictures were taken in my very bright parking lot and you can still see their light clearly.

For 67$ pre shipping, I would highly recommend this to anyone. I can take more pictures if anyone needs them!

No thanks, I have super bright pudlle lights using new leds. But only paid $10, and spent 15 minustes of my time doing it myself!

Also, I wouldnt reccommend using the free 194 leds as license plate bulbs. As that style led get Hot, and will melt inside the housing! Trust me...

I recently installed the same puddle lights on my truck after having the retrofitted puddles I previous had start to fail. Although they aren't cheap then were much cheaper than what I paid for the retrofitted ones I had since I bought the truck 2.5years ago and they are MUCH brighter.

Parked under my carport.

Same spot

The mirrors are folded in so a lot of the light is shining on the door, if the mirror was folded out the ground would be even brighter!

Got a set of these on the way. Currently have some retro-fitted puddle lights with cree 5w leds but the passenger side started flickering a few weeks ago and has since gone out. A bit on the expensive side but come with a 2 year warranty.

How much did it cost to retrofit puddle lights?

Default mirror lights

My 2013 F150 doesn't have mirror lights. Are all of them wired for lights or do you need to wire for them when you buy lights?

I'm not sure jlvetor but I thought this was a 2015/2016 feature... my XLT came stock with puddle lights and side lights (side lights might be part of the 302A upgrade though)

I have a 2013 F150 that did not come with puddle lights, put aftermarket tow mirrors with puddle lights and they work, so the wiring is at least to the truck side plug.
