because the Bi-xenon uses a relay harness and only one of the factory head light the system does not work properly, the fix to this is to cause resistance on the high beam side of the factory harness that is not used. I did this by wiring a small light bulb (I used a 631) between the positive high beam wire and the ground of the open harness. I mounted the light out of the way under the hood, so now when I turn the high beams on the small light comes on causing enough resistance to fool the system into working properly. everything works fine now.

You could also wire in a resistor rated for 60W with 4 ohms of resistance. But I used the light because it makes less heat.

PM me if you have any questions.

the law that you are talking about is that no vehical can have more than 4 forward facing lights. (highbeams count as 4 lights) you shouldn't have your high beams on when approaching traffice anyways so who would even know that you did the bambi mod.

Wait whoa whoa... With this mod you can run your highbeams and lows at the same time?? That, with my hella's would be awsome at night off road. Been thinking of buying HID's for some time now, any suggestions? Thinking about 5K, dont want much blue.

I personally have a bi-xenon kit for my headlights, this moves the bulb to make a high and low beam. I would retro fit all of your lights with HIDs including your Helas if you can find a bulb.

I have 6000k not really blue at all they are actually pretty white. I have used 5000K and 7000K i personally like the 6000K I feel they are brightest of the three.

the law I’m referring to is that you cannot have any other lights on with the high beam. your vehicle will (by the book) fail inspection in the state of Maine if your fog lights come on with your high beams. also it is means for a citation if you are caught by any law enforcement agency ie: police, BMV. been there got the ticket. I had a set of fog lights not wired to my head lights they just stayed on when I turned them on.

it varies from states to state I suggest checking you local laws before doing this mod.

and FYI there is no law (that I have ever seen) stating you cannot have any more than 4 lights facing forwards. this may be another one of those local things.

oh and also if you have a dual filament bulb, like in all F150s you only have two forward facing lights.
