Help with running board lights
I want to run a 48" or 60" amber light strip down both of my running boards. I would like them to be on when the other parking lamps are on, and off when the park lamps are off.
Can anybody recommend a place to buy what I need? And where is a good place to tap into wiring to make this work?

Google "KC hilites cyclone"
I mounted (4) Amber ones under my running boards. When doors were opened or unlocked, lights came on. When doors closed or were Locked, lights went off.

Here is the thread I made when I did all these light modifications to my truck two years ago.
The amber light underneath the steps of the truck are a true Amber what you see in the picture as the color being a green neon color is misleading.

OK I finally found what I was looking for. Recon makes what they call the "Big Rig" running board lights, and they work the same as your OE running/park lamps. That's exactly what the doctor ordered. Cool.

Tread carefully on what you buy because if you end up purchasing let's say a new set of headlights for $700 and they start leaking 6 months down the road, it's clear that their warrantee is only for 90 days.

I'm actually in the market myself for some high-quality LED strips. I would not mind put in a pair of Amber's under my running boards of my truck and tie them into my blinkers.
