Welcome to the club my friend. Such a beautiful truck we have but yes, the stock halogen lights do suck indeed.

I started my company, 4x4TruckLEDs.com because I bought an F-150 and hated the lights as well. The Raptor Retrofit lights mentioned above are awesome, as they are the actual OEM LED lights, but they are $1,650. If your wallet is big enough you can't get any better then that.

Or you can do what the rest of us (and how my company was formed) and try an LED Conversion Kit out on your truck.

I bought a cheap one when I first got my truck (actually the price was not cheap, but the bulbs were) and when I got water in my headlight housing and bad performance, I went on a mission to find a quality LED kit.

Sooo I found one, did some testing, and made it available to the public.

So that's another option, and it's not that expensive.

Your 3rd option is another fan favorite and right in the middle between full flown OEM LED and the LED Conversion Kits. It's actually replacing your housing with some Anzo headlights. They make a nice projection system for the 2015+ trucks. A lot of guys actually go with the Anzo housings and our LED Conversion Kits and it just gives you a really awesome looking light. It's a bit expensive. You are looking at about $500 for the Anzos and then the LED Conversion Kits ($140 for low, $140 for highs)... soo $880... but half the price as the OEM LED's

So there are some options for you. I'm sure others will chime in on what they've done and what's worked for them.

Here is my truck btw with the LED Conversion kit in the factory halogens (I did my fogs as well)

What is the install process for the LED conversion from 4x4truckleds.com? Is there any tapping into the wires required, that's one thing I like about the Anzo's as I look for a better option.

It's plug and play for the most part... however you need to keep the ballast outside the housing... see these instructions

Are these fine to be on all the time (DRLs)? What is the expected life of them?

Very interested, as spending big money for OEM LEDs is not appealing at the moment, but have to improve the pathetic stock headlights.

Thanks

So far no issues with DRL if installed correctly

Over 30,000 hours lifetime

Excellent, thanks for the info.

Another question. Can you confirm there are no issues of light bleed in the stock housings? Specifically, I know when people "retrofit" HIDs into stock housings, the light pattern (or whatever you want to call it) is all over the place and not focused correctly. Generally blinding oncoming traffic. I would guess since this is just a bulb, in the stock housing, the beam / pattern would be the same as before ... just hopefully brighter.

Thanks!

There may be some SLIGHT bleed since they are LED's in a halogen housing but the bleed will not bother oncoming drivers or yourself. The bleed/pattern is almost what you'd see with halogen lights... only more light and whiter light. We would not sell these if they bled too much or caused problems with oncoming drivers.

I'm in a 6" raised truck and never get people high beaming me (I do get people moving their mirrors when I'm right up behind them though due to the height of my truck)... so if I don't have issues, you won't.
