Any recommendations for bulb replacement? Non-LED fogs in a 2017. I don't want to do any modifications or wiring, just looking to see if there is a better bulb on the market that will be plug and play. Thanks.
I bought a set of the popular Liteway 4 inch round LED lights from Amazon. Others here on the forum had good things to say about them and, they were inexpensive IMO. They were a direct replacement to the round fog light housings. I had no issues with installation or adjustment. I've had them on the truck for several months now and not had any mounting or operational issues.
The link to the lights in Amazon has changed so I can't link you directly there.
I bought the Phillips ZEVO Fog lights as a direct replacement and couldn't be happier. They are very bright and are plug and play. Definitely not cheap at about $150, but well worth it.
Installation: Simple plug and play, no resistors, no ballast, etc. Simply turn your steering wheel to the right to access the drivers side. Pop the bulb out, install the LED bulb. Turn your steering wheel left to access the passenger side, and do the same. Easy.
I did 5000k because I didn't want too much color and closer to pure white. They are MUCH brighter and much better looking than the OEM halogen bulbs. There is no flickering and no issues.
Mine? Mine are great. But honestly, I stopped running them all the time. I think they might be a little too bright for oncoming traffic. Been flashed a few times, and not the type of flashing I'd hope for.
If anybody cares....my Phillips ZEVO Fogs are currently on the list to be replaced. One had been flickering very intermittently since new. However-recently the drivers side actually went out completely. So not happy with the Zevo's. Very expensive and looking at a replacement. I really want to do the SuperDuty LED factory swap. But they are expensive.
