Default eBay led lightbars

Hey guys. I've been wanting a 20 inch led light and saw eBay has tons of off brand name ones. Way cheaper than rigid but I'm sure you get what you pay for. Does anyone have any experience with the cheaper light bars? Thanks

i have been using a 24" one for 2-3 years with no issues. and a 50" for a year. i do have moisture in the 50" but not the 24". but i cant see spending the money on a rigid. unless you have the extra to burn.

I have had a 20” off-brand led lightbar (from eBay, $150) for about18 months and the only issue I’ve encountered is the body of the lightbardiscolored after about 6+ months. The direct sunlight turned itbrownish/purple, so I taped off the glass and rattle canned it with a couple ofvery light coats…just enough to turn it black. The actual LEDs are fantastic,in my opinion. I am not racing in the Baja 1000 so I really don’t understand throwing$800-$1,000 dollars at a lightbar. I use mine on occasion when driving at nighton a very small rural road, but realistically these things are mainly just forlooks. I have found very little practical use for mine. Yes, I know Rigid has alifetime warranty and they are bright and blah blah blah, but seriously…I paid$150 and it blows people’s minds when they see how bright these things reallyare. I am in no way putting down all of the high-end lightbar manufacturers, Iam simply saying my use doesn’t justify spending that type of coin.

IF I happen to get 3+ years out of the LEDs I’mfine with it. I have literally used this thing for about an hour in total. IF itdoes crap out on me so what, it was $150 and I can then decide if I want tospend another $150 on a nice pretty clean new one or move on to something else.
To each their own.

The hardware and mounts are cheaply made . I clipped a deer not to long ago the light bar and bull bar took the minimal damage. Now my mounts are hooped , in pieces , and i have no way to mount the bar again since they don't sell just the mounts . booooo.

I would buy a cheap off brand one 10 times before paying for a Ridgid… I have a 30" in my grill and have used it maybe twice in 10 months...

That's how I feel too dmbrichie. Highly doubt it will even be used much other than driving down the back roads

Rigid's main commitment is to fleecing its customers. After talking with a girl at my old gym who is in management at Federal Signal and hearing how much these things cost to build, I'd never give money to Rigid.

i use both my bars on a daily basis with no issues in performance. i have a 30 mile drive to work in the dark and they are on for at least half of it. pics are of just headlights, then the ebay bars and headlights.
