I have a 2020 XLT and threw in some SL1s yesterday. Driving home I noticed some “shadows” and hot spots in the lights. Are these not in correctly? Or is this normal? I was doing it blind through the wheel well but it went right in (unlike the fogs).

Looks like pics I’ve seen on the web. Normal with those bulbs
Thanks. I messed with the one today to make sure they were seated correctly and they were. Just making sure before I get them adjusted off those beams.
Granted I have a 17, but mine look nothing like that. They are uniform in pattern. Your driver side is lower than the passenger, so maye try adjusting and see if that helps!

There’s where my question of them came in. I’ve seen more uniform patterns but I’ve also seen people saying the redesign in ‘18 changed the headlight housings enough that they aren’t as uniform with these bulbs.
As far as alignment; I’m going to. I threw them in, lowered them 1.5” or so each to not blind people, and then had to work the next night. I did lower the passenger a touch to line up with the driver today after noticing that too. But I did check this morning and they are seated correctly in the housing with all tabs locked in place.
Weird. I have an email to Diode Dynamics and ordered the anti-flicker wiring as there is an occasional tiny flicker from these as well.
I had to use the anti flicker as well and even with pulling my headlights, I could not get it all to fit inside the housing, so I used some extended boots I had laying around and now I am good.
Generally, the directional nature of LEDs causes a homogeneity (smoothness) to the pattern vs halogen, which I believe may be what you're seeing here. As others have suggested, I'd confirm the rotation in the socket, but overall, the output does not look too far out of spec to me. Please feel free to contact us if you need assistance, thanks!

Thank you for the reply on here; I understand emails and that being delayed due to the ongoing COVID mess. I appreciate that you guys answered your phones and helped with the fog lights and your follow up here.
I verified they are facing passenger/driver directions and not up and down and they are locked in. First time replacing halogen with LED so I didn’t really know what to expect.
