The OEM DRL's are the amber running lights on factory equipped '13 F150's with the OEM HIDs.

I have a '13 Lariat on the way with halogens. I am curious and wondering if you would happen to know if I will be running amber DRLs as well. Otherwise I guess I'll find out soon enough. Never really thought about it...

Default Thanks to Someone on another thread

GOt a new Limited and I like to have my lights on in the daytime. Someone suggested that he just put a baseball cap over the light sensor and keeps the light switch on to auto. Works great. Cant find the thread but I wanted to say thanks.

I have a 2012 platinum F-150. It does not have Daytime Running Lights. I do not recall seeing any 2012 F-150 with them.

1. Do I have them and they just need to be enabled?
2. Can they be added if they are not part of the truck?
3. I have new fog lights on the way from Bil and wanted to use the amber rings on these fogs as a DRL.

rings on these fogs as a DRL.

The dealer can turn the DTR on and off.. In Canada all new vehicles have DTR turned on from factory.

A relay can be tied to a switched power source and used to turn the headlights on as soon as the vehicle is started.

The truck is supposed to have the wiring harness already in place because it's required in Canada. There is a relay and resistor (to keep lights at 80% power) for about $65.
