Any thoughts to using the Instrument Lighting or Interior Lighting fuse? I am adding interior lighting for the floor in front and back and thinking I will tie into one of those so when the dash lights power on these should too.

I literally just completed my Ride Rite install today and the only thing I can’t find is a source for the gauge light. I was fixing to make a post for the exact same issue.

I can't tap Into the Instrumental fuse as that fuse will be hot when the key is in. I ended up installing a toggle switch and will wire it to a 12v fuse. Will flick the switch if I need the backlight.

Bottom right side of the panel below the steering wheel. It doesn’t affect / get in the way of pushing the gas pedal at all.

Problem I’m having is a power source for the light. The “purple” wire on the harness for the headlights etc doesn’t put off enough amps to power the light.

Exactly what I read, with the BCD adapter I think that's what it's called it only puts out certain amount of voltage for your dash lights and dimmer lights etc. Only way wire it to a 12v wire from the fuse panel. I was planning on using double side 3m tape to hang the guaag. Don't really want to drill Into the truck.

Is there something in the fuse panel we can tie into, so it comes on with the dash lights etc?

I would say no as the fuses are either on or off. This is done by the key.
