Default Backup/reversing lights

Morning guys, looking to add some additional lighting to back of pickup for backing up. Ideally flush mount in bumper. I have looked around and can't find what in think I need.

Does anyone have instructions on how best to wire in. Not looking anything complicated, just they come in when I go into reverse.

Also, what lights you guys like that can be flush mounted

2018 screw lariat. Backup camera tow package etc.

Thanks

Had not considered a bar.

Do you have any photo if how it looks. How did you wire it in?

The Green/brown wire in the trailer plug harness should be the reverse light feed.

So it's as easy as just splice it onto that wire and ground it? Will that interfere with trailer lights operating?

It shouldn't. . I used that spot for my rear camera feed. Just tap into the wire at an easy to get spot in the harness.

Here is the rest of the wiring codes
BROWN. TAILLIGHTS
YELLOW LEFT TURN
GREEN. RIGHT TURN
BLUE. TRAILER ELECTRIC BRAKES
ORANGE 12 POWER WIRE. (KEY ON)
WHITE GROUND

Have you upgraded your backup light bulbs yet, before adding more lights?

LED backup bulbs will help a lot. And present no problems as turn signal bulbs sometimes do.

Yes, upgrade to LED reverse lights will enhance much vision for reversing and much easier and safer for backup. Below are the bulb size guide for Ford F-150 back up reverse lights bulbs. It is recommended to check your OEM bulb's part number to double confirm before purchasing, for owner manual maybe incorrect.
2019-2021 Ford F150: 7440/W21W ==> 7440 LED reverse lights bulb
2015-2018 Ford F150: 3156 ==> 3156 LED reverse lights bulb
2009-2014 Ford F150: 912 ==> 912 LED reverse lights bulb
2006-2008 Ford F150 (option 1: 3156) or (option 2: 912) ==> 3156 LED bulbs; ==> 912 LED bulbs
1994-2005 Ford F150: 3156 ==> 3156 LED bulbs
For more other applications for your Ford F150, check Ford F150 bulb size guide for more details.
