Backup Lights
Just got my led backup pods from f150leds.com. They were $90 shipped. Got them mounted and now I just need to wire them. Btw, does anybody have any experience wiring lights to the trailering harness? I can't seem to find the ground wire on the seven flat or the four pin. I guess I could always ground it to the frame.

I just grounded mine to the mounting location for each light. Then I wired both positives and ran that to the positive on the 7 pin.

I wired mine to the ground on my 4 pin, and used a relay triggered by my reverse lights for power. Power itself is provided by the positive lead on my 4 pin. This causes them to automatically turn on when I shift in reverse.

Does your harness look like this? On the front cover it has a ground pin but I don't know where it is on the harness.

That looks like it is the seven pin harness. I used the middle wire (if I recall correctly) as the power for both of mine and then grounded them to the bolt that is holding them in place at the lights.

Ok. I'll try that and see if it works. I'm wiring them this afternoon so I'll let everyone know how it goes. If I remember, I'll throw in some night pics! 😀

Here's how I wired them.
I just used butt connectors to extend the wire instead of using the quick splice connectors that came with the kit. I twisted the two power wires together and used one of the quick splice connectors to wire it to my reverse power on my 7-flat. Couldn't find a good ground (tried using the bumper mounts but that work) so I twisted the ground wires together, put an eyelet on it, and used a self tapping screw to ground it to the bed.
